Our documentary DIL LEYLA was selected for the A Matter of ACT competition which consists of nine special documentaries about human rights defenders. All films and their protagonists compete for the two A Matter of ACT Awards, the Golden Butterflies for the best film and the human rights award.
Film Festival takes place from the 24th of March until the 1st of April 2017 at Filmhuis Den Haag and Theater aan het Spui in The Hague.
On Saturday March 25th at 20.00 the documentary DIL LEYLA will be screened during the A Matter of ACT Night. Special guest Mary Robinson, who previously was the first female president of Ireland (1990-1997) and High Commissioner for Human Rights from the United Nations, will open the night. After the film there will be a discussion programme with the filmdirector of DIL LEYLA, Aslı Özarslan.
